Ken & Andy went to law school together at Seattle University School of Law and met through a shared interest in Constitutional Law. Following graduation, Ken & Andy began separate practices in Eastern Washington. In 2016, they decided to partner up and start a new firm. Ken grew up in rural Indiana and lived in Illinois, Colorado, and California before coming to Washington State for law school. While attending undergrad and law school, he worked in the Information Technology sector on database-driven web design/analytics, personal computer repair, and small business consulting.
Ken holds a B.A. degree in Philosophy and Political Science, summa cum laude, from Millikin University and a Juris Doctor degree from Seattle University School of Law. Prior to forming Miller & Chase in 2016, Ken worked as a public defender in Eastern Washington and as a law clerk focusing on catastrophic personal injury cases.
Andy began practicing law after spending 15 years working for the public and private sectors in digital forensics and information security. He provided his services to The Boeing Company, Cisco and the FBI Headquarters in Washington, DC. He has a very strong technical background and has received the following degrees:
•Juris Doctor from Seattle University School of Law
•Masters of Science in Information Security from Boston University
•Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from Park University
Talia Misner has been with Miller & Chase, PLLC since they opened doors at their Okanogan Washington Office in November 2016. Prior to that She worked for the Okanogan County Clerk's Office, where she spent over 11 years as a Deputy Clerk assisting the Court and serving the public. As the Office Manager/Paralegal she is here to manage the day to day operations of the office and to assist clients with their needs and concerns.
Talia Grew up on the Beautiful Oregon Coast, however, after many years of rain she wanted to enjoy having four seasons. She and her husband have lived in Okanogan County for 14 years now, raising three wonderful children. She likes reading, camping, and being outdoors to enjoy all the area has to offer, no matter the adventure.
Kaylee Beetchenow joined Miller & Chase Law as a paralegal in October of 2017. Kaylee was born and raised in Okanogan, WA. After leaving for some time, she returned in 2007 where she started her legal career in the County Clerk's Office handling primarily family law matters and some criminal. She then moved on to the County Prosecutor's Office in 2014 as a Legal Assistant under the supervision of both Superior Court and District court Attorney's. She is trained in Victim/Witness Advocacy and as a Court Appointed Special Advocate. Kaylee has over 13 years of Legal experience that has helped her provide professional, accurate and reliable assistance to our client.
Along with working for Miller & Chase Law, Kaylee and her husband own and operate their family ranch just outside of Okanogan, where they are raising their four beautiful children. Kaylee enjoys spending time with her family and friends and spends much of her time outdoors.
Ivan Morales is the newest paralegal staff member of the Miller & Chase Law firm. Ivan comes to us from the Clerk's Office with vast knowledge and experience in Family Law proceedings and District Court process. He attended Central Washington University from 2016 to 2018 and will soon complete his bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice. Ivan grew up in the Tonasket area where his family continues to live today. Ivan enjoys fishing, hiking and spending time with his family and friends.
Ivan is bilingual in Spanish, has a strong work ethic and is a very detail-oriented person which makes him a perfect fit for the Miller & Chase team.
Paul is licensed to practice law in state and federal courts in Washington (1988) and Hawaii (1994). He has represented U.S. and foreign business clients in Asia, Europe & Latin America. He has litigated jurisdictional issues as well as business, commercial, employment, real estate and estate/probate matters. He has served as a mediator, arbitrator and judge pro term. Paul has taught continuing legal education classes in Resolution of Estate Disputes (“TEDRA”- Chelan County, 2014) and in Enforcement of International Commercial Arbitration Awards (University of Washington - March 2016). He has also taught ‘Employment Law’ for WSTLA.
Prior to law school, Paul earned a B.S. degree from the UW. He also completed a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology and worked in management for United Airlines. Paul was a university professor (2010 – 2012), teaching classes in Business Law, International Business, and Conflict Resolution. Mr. Eklund is the author of a college text: “Convergence Zone”: A Multi-dimensional Approach to Conflict Resolution © 2010). Paul speaks Spanish & Swedish and has conversational skills in French, Portuguese & Italian.
Paul is also the founder of Lightshine, which has developed homes for abandoned children in Romania, Peru, and Mexico. In his work with orphans, Paul has facilitated the adoption of children from several countries. Paul and his wife (Grisela) serve as consultants to child protective services for the government of Mexico. His work has been featured by the Washington State Bar Association. Paul & his wife have 4 adult children and six grandchildren. Their family enjoys hiking and travel!!
